Our Curriculum
Welcome to Northeast College Prep! We believe in nurturing the whole child – academically, socially, and emotionally. Our engaging curriculum programs support students in becoming global thinkers, confident learners, and caring individuals.
Students take one specialist class each day and explore all five specialist classes on a rotating schedule:
Spanish, Arabic, Music, Art, and Physical Education.
English/Language Arts:
Our language arts programs inspire a love of reading and writing through thought-provoking texts and creative expression. With Wit & Wisdom and Fishtank ELA, students build strong literacy skills while exploring diverse stories that broaden their perspectives.
World Languages:
At NECP, we nurture global citizens by offering Arabic and Spanish language programs. Through engaging instruction, interactive activities, and exploration of diverse cultures, students develop crucial communication skills and cultural understanding. Our world language classes open doors to new worlds, allowing students to connect across languages and appreciate the richness of our global community. By becoming proficient in multiple languages from an early age, students gain a competitive edge for future academic and professional pursuits in our globally interconnected world
Math:
In math, we use hands-on programs like Bridges Math and Desmos to make concepts come alive. Students gain deep understanding through interactive problem-solving and real-world applications, becoming mathematical thinkers and problem-solvers.
Science:
Amplify Science and Mystery Science spark curiosity through investigations and digital tools that allow students to think and work like real scientists and engineers. Exciting hands-on experiments nurture their natural inquisitiveness.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL):
Our commitment to SEL is woven through academics. Programs like Fly Five, Responsive Classroom, Catalyst, Welcoming Schools,, and CARES (cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy, self-control) equip students with essential life skills such as cooperating with others, managing emotions, showing empathy, and believing in themselves.
